What a first session actually feels like

No couch required. An honest, unhurried walk through your free fifteen minutes.

What a first session actually feels like

If your idea of a first therapy session comes from films — a couch, a notebook, a long uncomfortable silence — let's gently put that aside.

Your free fifteen minutes is really just a conversation. The therapist will probably ask what brought you here, and then mostly listen. There's no test, no right answers, and nothing you have to disclose before you're ready.

It's also a two-way interview. You're allowed to notice how you feel in the room. Did they get you? Did you relax, even a little? If not, that's useful information — and we'll happily find you someone else.

Fifteen minutes isn't long. But it's usually enough to answer the only question that matters at the start: could I talk to this person again?
